The Ministry of Interior of the State of Kuwait is offering an e-Visa service for Hong Kong S.A.R. passport holders and other passport holders from 51 countries/territories. Read complete information on e-Visa Services here.
Visa on arrival
Hong Kong S.A.R. passport holders and passport holders of the countries/territories listed in the website of Directorate General of Civil Aviation shall be granted an entry visa to the State of Kuwait upon their arrival to any port of entry in Kuwait:
Requirements
- Visitors should be holding a passport valid for more than six month from the date of travel to Kuwait.
- All visitors must be in position of return ticket.
- Visitors should register their residence address in the State of Kuwait when applying for the visa at visas counter at the airport.
- A visa fee of 10 Kuwait Dinar is required.
*The entry visa is valid for a single entry and it allows its holder a temporary stay for a maximum of 3 months starting from the entry date.
**For all cases of visa application, the Government of the State of Kuwait has the absolute right in its full and absolute discretion to reject or decline any visa application and admitting any person into the State of Kuwait without any reason or explanation given, and such decision is final and binding. In the event of any rejection or declining of any visa application, all fees paid to this Consulate General and/or to the Government of the State of Kuwait will be absolutely forfeited without recourse. Any other expenses incurred by the applicant incidental to or in support of the visa applicant are made by the applicant at his/her own risk and the Government of the State of Kuwait and this Consulate will assume non-so-ever liability for such expenses if any. Applicant is deemed to have accepted the above when he/she make the visa application.

Macao S.A.R. passport holders and passport holders of countries/territories other than those listed should apply for an entry visa through the Consulate General of the State of Kuwait in Hong Kong or through their inviting party in the State of Kuwait before traveling to Kuwait:
Requirements
- All Visitors must be in position of return ticket.
- Visa application form filled in and signed.
- One Hong Kong or Macao ID Card Copy. (For non Hong Kong or non Macau ID card holders, please contact the Consulate General in Hong Kong or in their country of origin for more information)
- Original and Copy of Passport(valid for more than six month from the date of travel to Kuwait).
- One passport size photo.
- (For Tourist Visa) Please check Government website of the State of Kuwait and/or call this Consulate for assistance. Please take note that requirements might change from time to time.
- (For Business Visa) Original Letter from Company stating the activities & the reason for the visit and one copy of invitation letter from inviting company in Kuwait stating clearly the contact person's name and telephone number.
- Visa is processed in around 5 working days depending on applicant information.
- Visa fee is 1000 HKD (CASH ONLY & 1000 Bank note is not accepted).
- Submission of all the above mentioned documents by applicant in person.
*The entry visa is valid to enter the State of Kuwait within 3 months from its issuance for a single entry and it allows its holder a temporary stay for a maximum of 30 days starting from the entry date.
